Day 1: Arrival in Manali</h4

Your adventure begins with your arrival in the picturesque hill town of Manali, nestled in the heart of Himachal Pradesh. After checking into your hotel, take some time to relax and acclimatize. If time permits, explore the charming Mall Road, soak in the mountain vibes, and grab a bite at one of the local cafés. This day is all about rest and preparing for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Manali to Jispa

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the lush valleys and rugged terrain of the Himalayas. Today’s journey takes you over the famous Rohtang Pass and through the stunning Lahaul Valley, passing Keylong and onward to Jispa. This route offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, waterfalls, and alpine meadows. Upon arrival in Jispa, settle in at a riverside campsite or a cozy hotel and rest under the starry skies.

Day 3: Jispa to Sarchu

Today, you’ll ascend deeper into the high Himalayas. The route to Sarchu is filled with dramatic landscapes, crossing Deepak Tal, Zingzing Bar, and the mighty Baralacha La Pass. You’ll also witness Suraj Tal, a serene glacial lake that seems untouched by time. Arrive in Sarchu by afternoon and rest, as the altitude here is significantly higher and ideal for acclimatization. Night stay in tents, experiencing life above 14,000 ft.

Day 4: Sarchu to Leh

One of the most exhilarating days of the journey, this leg takes you across high-altitude passes including Nakee La, Lachung La, and the stunning Tanglang La – one of the world’s highest motorable mountain passes. You’ll also navigate the famous Gata Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends. The landscape transforms from rugged mountains to expansive plateaus as you approach the vibrant town of Leh. Arrive by evening and rest at your hotel.

Day 5: Leh Local Sightseeing

Spend the day exploring the cultural and spiritual side of Leh. Begin with a visit to Shanti Stupa, offering panoramic views of the town, followed by the historic Leh Palace. Then head out to see Magnetic Hill, where gravity seems to play tricks, and the spiritual Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. End the day at Sangam, the breathtaking confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Return to your hotel for a restful night.

Day 6: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

After breakfast, head towards the enchanting Nubra Valley via Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable road at over 18,000 ft. The journey is surreal, with snow-covered peaks and winding roads. On arrival, explore Diskit Monastery, home to a massive Maitreya Buddha statue. In the evening, visit the Hunder Sand Dunes for a camel safari on rare double-humped Bactrian camels. Spend the night in a camp under the stars.

Day 7: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route

Today’s route takes you through the less-traveled but stunning Shyok Valley, with mesmerizing views all along the way. By afternoon, you’ll arrive at the legendary Pangong Lake, with its crystal-clear blue waters stretching across the Indo-China border. Spend the evening by the lake, watching the colors change as the sun sets. Overnight stay in lakeside tents is an experience like no other.

Day 8: Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La

After an early breakfast by the lake, begin your return journey to Leh via Chang La, another high-altitude mountain pass. En route, you can visit Hemis and Thiksey Monasteries if time permits. Arrive in Leh by evening and spend your last night in the city enjoying a relaxed evening or picking up souvenirs.

Day 9: Leisure Day in Leh

This is a buffer day for rest or optional activities. You can choose to go river rafting on the Zanskar River, enjoy ATV rides in the outskirts of Leh, or visit the peaceful Hemis Monastery. Alternatively, just spend the day soaking in the serene Himalayan vibe. It’s a perfect day to recharge before heading back.

Day 10: Departure from Leh

Your incredible journey concludes as you head to Leh Airport for your flight back home, carrying unforgettable memories of high passes, starry skies, peaceful monasteries, and the raw beauty of Ladakh.
