Day 1: Arrival in Shimla

Your journey begins with your arrival in Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. On reaching Shimla, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can check-in and relax. After some rest, the evening is at leisure for you to explore the famous Mall Road, known for its colonial architecture, quaint shops, and cozy cafes. The cool, crisp winter air will make for a delightful walk as you soak in the charm of this hill station. You’ll also find local handicrafts, winter wear, and souvenirs, perfect for a little shopping.

Day 2: Shimla – Kufri & Adventure Activities

After breakfast, you’ll set off for Kufri, a popular hill station located just outside Shimla, famous for its snow activities during winter. Here, you’ll enjoy thrilling experiences such as skiing, snowboarding, and tobogganing on the slopes, making for a fun-filled day. Kufri is also known for its Adventure Park, where you can enjoy activities like go-karting and horse riding amidst the scenic backdrop. As the evening sets in, you’ll be part of the vibrant Lohri Festival celebration, a significant cultural event marked by traditional songs, dances, and a bonfire to welcome the harvest season. It’s a perfect way to get a taste of the local culture while enjoying the warmth of the festival.

Day 3: Shimla – Kullu

On the third day, after breakfast, you’ll head towards Kullu, a picturesque town located on the banks of the Beas River. Kullu is famous for its lush valleys and rich cultural heritage, and during the winter months, it becomes a haven for snow lovers. If your visit coincides with the Kullu Dussehra Festival, you’ll get to experience one of the most famous festivals of Himachal. The entire town comes alive with grand processions, traditional dances, and colorful fairs. Visit the Raghunath Temple and Bijli Mahadev Temple, and take in the serene beauty of the valley.

Day 4: Kullu – Manali (Visit Solang Valley)

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll travel to Manali, a renowned hill station known for its breathtaking views and snow activities. Upon reaching Manali, head straight to Solang Valley, one of the best spots in the region for winter sports. Here, you can indulge in activities like paragliding, zip-lining, tubing, and of course, skiing. Surrounded by snow-clad peaks and verdant landscapes, this day promises to be full of adventure and fun. After the day’s activities, you’ll have some free time to explore Old Manali, known for its charming cafes, narrow lanes, and peaceful atmosphere.

Day 5: Manali – Rohtang Pass & Snow Activities

The fifth day of your tour takes you to Rohtang Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, located just outside Manali. Weather permitting, you’ll experience a breathtaking drive through snow-covered roads, reaching an elevation where snow and adventure beckon. At Rohtang, you can enjoy snow trekking, snowball fights, and sledging, all set against the spectacular backdrop of the snow-covered Pir Panjal Range. After soaking in the chilly beauty of Rohtang, return to Manali and, if you’re visiting around Makar Sankranti, you’ll get to witness kite flying festivals where people gather in the villages for this joyful occasion.

Day 6: Departure from Manali

After breakfast, you’ll check out from the hotel. Depending on your onward travel plans, you can either drive back to Shimla or head to your departure point. If you’re returning to Shimla, you can stop by and visit Hadimba Temple and Vashisht Hot Springs, both famous for their natural beauty and spiritual significance. The temple, dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, is surrounded by tall cedar trees and offers a peaceful vibe. The hot springs in Vashisht are known for their therapeutic properties.
