Day 1: Chandigarh to Shimla

Begin your journey from Chandigarh and drive to Shimla, the Queen of Hills. Enjoy the scenic route as you enter Himachal Pradesh. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, explore Mall Road, The Ridge, and Christ Church.

Overnight Stay: Shimla

Day 2: Shimla to Sangla / Rakcham

After breakfast, drive towards Sangla Valley, passing through charming villages and winding roads. Stop by Karcham Dam en route. Reach Rakcham or Sangla, two of the most scenic villages in Kinnaur district, known for lush greenery, apple orchards, and traditional wooden houses.

Day 3: Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa

After breakfast, visit Chitkul, the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border, known for its surreal beauty and clean air. Later, drive to Kalpa, a picturesque village overlooking the Kinner Kailash range. Enjoy sunset views and visit the Roghi Suicide Point or Kalpa Monastery.

Day 4: Kalpa to Nako – Tabo

Today’s drive marks your entry into Spiti Valley. En route, visit Nako Village and its peaceful lake. Cross the famous Malling Nallah before entering the high-altitude desert terrain of Spiti. Reach Tabo, home to one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas.

Day 5: Tabo – Dhankar – Pin Valley – Kaza

Explore the ancient Tabo Monastery before heading to Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff. If time and road conditions allow, make a detour to the serene and lesser-known Pin Valley, known for its wildlife and remote villages. Continue to Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti.

Day 6: Kaza Local Sightseeing 

Spend the day exploring the iconic villages around Kaza:

• Key Monastery – the largest monastery in Spiti

• Kibber – one of the highest motorable villages

• Hikkim – home to the world’s highest post office

• Komic – among the highest inhabited villages

• Langza – known for its Buddha statue and fossils

Day 7: Kaza to Chandratal Lake

Start early and drive to the magical Chandratal Lake (Moon Lake), a crescent-shaped high-altitude lake nestled in the mountains. The drive via Kunzum Pass offers breathtaking views. Spend time at the lake before settling in your camp for a starlit night.

Day 8: Chandratal to Manali 

After a peaceful morning by the lake, drive to Manali via Rohtang Pass or Atal Tunnel (route depends on weather/season). Enjoy the stunning terrain change from barren mountains to lush green valleys.

Day 9: Manali Local Sightseeing

Explore the attractions of Manali including:

• Hadimba Devi Temple

• Vashisht Hot Springs

• Old Manali

• Mall Road You can also choose to relax at a riverside café or indulge in some adventure activities.

Day 10: Manali to Chandigarh

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Chandigarh with amazing memories of Kinnaur and Spiti. Drop-off at your preferred location (Railway Station / Airport).
